the glorious return of kaisermun
[A young man of considerable stature has washed up on the Domino City shoreline.
He is covered in salt and sand, and a few pieces of seaweed have draped themselves casually around his limbs and wormed their way into the tears in his clothing. He's clutching a sealed briefcase as if his life depends on it, even in unconsciousness.
There's a waterlogged nametag pinned to his soaked leather coat that reads "Hello: My Name Is Phoneutria."
What a suspicious character. Perhaps you should investigate.]
[[Note to former benchdwellers: Phone will probably have very few (if any) memories left from his time in the Dressing Room. You may have to reintroduce yourself. ;o also i'm posting in bed so don't be alarmed if i doze off, I'll be back tomorrow morning!!]]

Oh, whatever! She awkwardly pats his back until he stops coughing, waiting for the expected question of where he is,
...and gets that, instead.]
Ah, I thought so... You don't know me?
[Wow, did he bang his head or something? She looks around, just in case there's something else around out of place around here, before she turns the frown back on him.]
You just washed up here, but... You don't remember how you got here?
no subject
...I do know you. But not where we met.
[Letting go of his briefcase and setting it on the sand carefully, he looks out at the ocean.]
I was standing on dry land at the academy, the last time I was conscious.
no subject
[Except explaining that would be a huge mess to tackle, especially if he's suffering from amnesia of some sort. This isn't just about him going home for a while and forgetting, right? He doesn't look much older, and he'd at least place her...]
Do you at least remember the hotel? Or- [She shuts her mouth eyes glued to that case, then shakes her head with a frown. She's not paying attention to what's important here.]
Why don't we get off the beach? You should probably check by the hospital or, something...
no subject
[She doesn't know when he'll get back...? What...]
...but we're not exactly in Domino, are we?
[Upon her suggestion of a hospital visit, he shakes his head.]
I can't.
no subject
[It's hard to make it anywhere else, when you keep ending up back in city if you drive or walk out, and the only passages out are doors she's, not sure about exploring alone.
But she's all for frowning at his protest. She's not sure about moving him much, much less how to treat him herself.]
Why? The people here are, not too nosy, if you don't try to stand out, and money isn't a problem.
no subject
I stand out whether I want to or not. I can't check into a Domino hospital if I'm not dying.
...So. Where, exactly, is this?
no subject
[But without a clear sign he needs the care, she's loathe to push the issue. It's bad enough trying to figure out what the people do or don't notice or mind, without drawing extra attention for a suspiciously reluctant patient.
Still, she can't offer much more than a shrug as she backs up, once certain he can support himself. ]
I wish I knew. It's definitely bigger here, and more... "Natural" I guess, but we're still stuck here, and. I don't know... How many from the hotel, ended up here...
[But... Phone just appeared now. Maybe more will follow!]
no subject
So all you know is that it's an alternate Domino. And you can't leave.
[His second attempt at standing is more successful, albeit wobbly.]
What's this "hotel"?
no subject
[-the hotel, and he really is playing it tough, isn't he? Forget it, she's going to try helping him keep on his feet. It's needed, especially if she wants a hope of getting him off the sand.]
It's- You really don't remember then? It... was the last place we were stuck. It was smaller, of course, but strange things happened there, too, and some of the same people are here, so...
no subject
The hotel...he contemplates the idea for a moment.]
...
...
...a place between worlds.
[Ah, now he's getting it.]
no subject
Besides, isn't that insight much more interesting?]
-that's right. Is it coming back to you? We met in the hotel, but we're, not from the same world.
no subject
...the "Dressing Room", wasn't it?
How well did I know you?
no subject
[But hey, he remembers. Dealing with the relocation and figuring out how to help him can stay the priority, if she doesn't have to detail all the DR madness. And attach "no, I don't know how" to every point.
But, they're familiarity? That stalls getting in the car.]
ah, not well, I guess.. But we've met a few times over the years, and you've helped me through a problem, actually. -I'm Akino Seiran, if you didn't know.
no subject
Well, that's...different.
He nods, though, and files her into his list of people to remember.]
Seiran, then.
...I'll be going with you, then, if the housing arrangements are the same.
no subject
She nods as she comes around to the driver's side, accepting the first name basis, before a frown forms.]
That- If you don't think you need a doctor... But, yes, we have a place to stay. It's an apartment building, and I don't think it's mandatory to stay there, but...
[Hey, free room and board, right? And a free ride there, at that!]
no subject
[He'd probably walk if he could. And he'd get a heart attack and collapse in the street, because he's a stubborn idiot.]
I have a room elsewhere, but it was probably destroyed.
no subject
[And she's not so sure she buys it, but she'll settle for looking at him over the jeep door, if he hasn't gotten in and buckled up. If she can at least get him off the
waterbeachstreet.]...if you mean in the real Domino, I don't know. But apparently some stuff from the hotel moved here, with us. You might find your old room, if you look enough.
[She hasn't, but hey. That nine floor building is deceptive in its size.]
no subject
The real one. But I did have a duplicate in the hotel.
[He sets the briefcase carefully down inside next to him.]
no subject
[She can't look down at the case, given she's pulling into
REALtraffic, but.]At least you have some of your things with you?
no subject
[He shakes his head (although she can't see it), staring out the window at the scenery flying past.]
Only my collars.
[what]
and now I'm wondering HOW she never found out.
Kaiser's making keeping eyes on the road difficult.
She's stuck relying on him looking at her and noticing the confused frown.]
...should I know what those are?
~magic~ or the power of absurd luck (that might change soon enough...hehe)
[There's some clicking as he opens the case to make sure they're not waterlogged and destroyed, and a sigh of relief as he finds the inside dry.]
They're shock devices. For dueling.
luck? with this character? COME NOW (ohnooooes)
[Someone wasn't looking to get a peek at the contents. And the comment takes a second to set in.
...
Excuse her while she pulls over to the side of the road. She's not looking exactly shocked here, but this requires a change for a proper stunned stare.
Getting into a crash wouldn't help that.]
...what are you talking about?
i must hear about this (also i am going to tag fast now)
There's a faint smirk on his lips when he removes one of the arm cuffs from the case. The metal spike jutting from one side probably doesn't help her first impressions.]
They're used for a particular kind of dueling. The more life points you lose, the higher the amperage.
Interesting, aren't they?
(and- I'm fast but erratic. x|) I plan to put up a brainstorming session via pm or chat, if wanted!
...not the word I would use for it.
["Foul" seems more appropriate, as her staring might say. It can't really shock her that dueling could be twisted. The game's been the base of too many attempts on her life for that.
Still, it's been a long time, and for him to describe this twist so casually...]
Is... this "kind" really common where you're from?
hehehe awesome >:3 where do you guys chat anyway i must join you
no group area in real play- namely Fetchie talking to me & Spears seperately on aim.
